My Story:
When I was growing up, emotions were scary and uncomfortable, so I learned to keep them to myself. I was never quite able to “turn off” my emotions, so I decided to explore them a bit more, and learned that emotions are here to guide us. Emotions communicate to me when something doesn’t feel right, if I made a great decision, or anything in between!
As a Therapist:
I want to guide people towards a better understanding of their emotions. There are no bad emotions, just unhealthy choices we might make in the midst of our emotions. I’m here to show my authentic self, flaws and all, so you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are. I know you want to do better and be better, so let’s first start with acknowledging where you are now and where you want to go from here.
Outside of the Office:
I live in Seattle with my amazing husband, and extroverted dog, Kaia. I take my job as an aunt very seriously and my niece and nephews keep me playful and curious. Whenever I’m exploring a new place, my first Google search is always “desserts.” I am pro-naps, especially when I am sick or on my period. After work, I like to read, crochet, journal, or work on a puzzle to recharge. I taught my husband how to snowboard, and every season I regret it, as I bundle up to endure the cold. We take our dog paddle boarding, hiking, and wherever else she prefers, as she is in charge!
